Every standing meeting, and how often
Wieland Metal Services · Operations Manager · 2025–2026
- What it is
- Every standing meeting — what runs daily, weekly, every two weeks and monthly, who it is with, and whether it happens on the floor or on Teams. Emergency meetings aren't on this list; those happen when they happen.
- Why it existed
- A plant runs on a rhythm. If the only time people get together is when something has already gone wrong, you find out about everything late.
- What changed
- Twenty-one standing meetings: four every day, seven every week, three every other week and seven a month. Each has a fixed slot and a fixed purpose, so nothing waits for somebody to decide a meeting is needed. One of the monthly ones brings in an operator from every department, by design — and the two that carry the most weight, MDI and the spot meeting, have their own cards.
